Located on the corner of Pearl and Church Streets, the Richardson Building was constructed in 1894. It housed the largest department store in Burlington -- first H.W. Allen & Co., then Abernethy's. Abernethy's was a fixture in the city for approximately seventy years, from c. 1910 to 1983. The building is now known as Richardson Place.Subjects
