Black and white advertising card depicting the Strong Hardware Store and Theatre at the corner of Main Street and South Winooski Avenue, in Burlington, Vermont. Captioned "Burlington, VT. The Strong" in lower left corner of image. Captioned "The Home of the Strong Hardware Co., Burlington, Vt." on lower edge of front. Rear contains depiction of hardware tools and a poem about the store. Labeled "Compliments of / Strong Hardware Co. / Burlington, Vermont" on lower edge of rear.

Notes
The Strong building, constructed in 1904, contained the Strong Theatre, Strong Hardware Company, a saloon, and a restaurant. The theater, which accommodated some 1,500 patrons, was designed for dramatic productions, but it eventually became a movie house. The entire structure was destroyed by fire in 1970.
