Description
Two-gallon salt-glazed stoneware jar with lid. Large ovoid jar shape with tapered neck, flat rim, and two opposing, applied ear-shaped lug handles. Exterior features transparent glaze, cobalt blue slip-decorated floral motif on center front, and cobalt blue maker stamp "Nichols & Boynton / Burlington, VT / 2" on center front of neck. Interior features dark brown glaze. One-piece round lid features transparent glaze with central round knob.
