Description
Two-part brass pin commemorating the Lake Champlain Tercentenary. Oblong upper section shaped like cartouche and labeled "New York / and Vermont / Joint Celebration." Lower section shaped like medallion features embossed portrait of Samuel de Champlain surrounded by the state seals of Vermont and New York, depictions of tomahawks, a Native American in a canoe, and a steamship. Medallion labeled "1609 / 1909 / The Tercentenary of the / Discovery of / Lake Champlain."
