An advertisement in the December 1895 of The Vermonter (Vol. 1, No. 5, p. CXIV) notes that this sanitarium founded in 1882, was "For the treatment of select cases of mild mental derangement, together with invalids suffering from the various forms of nervous troubles." Dr. Berry owned and operated the facility from 1904 to 1915.
