Notes
This figurine was the inspiration for Champlain College's beaver mascot, Chauncey T. Beaver. Dean Winthrop Tilley purchased the item on a trip to Canada circa 1958-1959 and suggested the beaver to President C. Bader Brouilette as an apt mascot due to its industriousness. This figurine was the first piece of beaver memorabilia collected by Tilley and fellow Dean Peter Bridge.
