Description
Decorative mosaic panel depicting the Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus, backed by textured cloth. Titled "Virgin Mary Bethlehem" in lower center of front. Contained in a red velvet presentation box. Given to President Donald Laackman by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Ambassador to the United States, Maen Rashid Areikat, on October 21, 2014 when the Ambassador visited Champlain College to speak for an event co-hosted with the Vermont Council on World Affairs (VCWA). The event was titled "Window Into Middle East Diplomacy: A Conversation with Ambassador Areikat."
