Notes
This postcard probably depicts the "airship" launched during the Lake Champlain Tercentenary celebrations in Burlington in July 1909. On July 9, 1909, the Burlington Weekly Free Press reported that "At 4:26 oclock yesterday afternoon Nassrs dirigible balloon made its first successful flight in this city, before a crowd which extended from College street to Maple street on Winooski avenue."
